timing chain size 3.0
 

I bought two Iwis timing chains from our host and I don't like the clips that retain the master link. They're tiny and fragile. I installed the two master links and after turning the engine over one of the little e clips fell off. I want to either peen the links or acquire the old style clips, any suggestions. I need to know the size of the chain so I can buy a tool to peen the link.

Try asking in the engine rebuilding section if not answered here.

I would definitely check there. I remember installing chains in 97 that had a link connector but I remember it not being wimpy and it is working fine 15 years later.
