Do I have to adapt the vent system? Will I have issues with the pressure in the tank if I don't?

I have to take the car this Saturday to the bodyshop and need to decide if I do the center filled conversion or not... reason for the question.

Call TRE. I'm pretty sure they can supply the parts you need and can tell you what you need to do to install this correctly. The last guy to do this didn't ask any questions before he installed the parts and he did it wrong.

Hello Jaime, What tank setup are you using? Modified stock, Fuel cell?, Is the new cap vented? , I recommend plumbing in the vapor recovery system, You don't want fuel vapor in your garage at home!
Take care, Lou |

Using a new stock tank. Plan is to weld shut the stock fill location and weld the center filled kit. That was my concern with the vapor recovery system. Excellent. Thank you.

The kit he has is excellent, because in addition to the looks, it provides a locking cap under the old styled lid... but the cost reflects this. I found a less expensive alternative (without the cool locking gas cap, but budget dictates I go this route).

Do your parts allow for a good seal to the underside of the hood?
You might search for the other thread, as it discusses the tank venting issue. It was in the last month. JR |

I did this on my current SC a few years back without issue. The CIS doesn't care and the car runs just fine.
I too used the stock tank, welded shut the fill and cut a hole for the new neck. Pretty simple process. I tied the factory vent back into the top of my new neck and formed a metal "bowl" around the new fill neck that channels water from the hole in the hood to outside the car. I've driven through some incredible rain storms without a drop in the trunk. I can snap a picture if you really need it, but this is a pretty easy modification if you let common sense lead you. Vin |

Vin,
If not too much trouble, yes, I would love to see photos. Thank you, Jaime Quote:

Just keep the vapor recovery system connected to the tank, and you wont get the faint gass smell i get once in a whille. its a nice looking mod. |
