DME Relay & Cyl Head Temp Sensor
I keep coming across posts for these two items and the need to replace them as they eventually fail.
If I am not experiencing any problems, should I just go ahead and replace them as they will probably be failing? Second, how hard is it to replace both? Thanks |
DME relay is as easy as it gets. Slide the drivers seat all the way back and there it is. One nut and one plug and your done. Common practice is to put the new one in, and put the old one in the glove box.
Cylinder head temp sensor is another story. I don't have first hand knowledge of this, but Joeaksa on this board has experience working on aircraft engines and he told me it was a lot of work. Hmmmm... Here's the Pelican Tech article on the head temp sensor. |
One nut and one plug? ITs not in the box that houses the DME (ie computer chip) is it?
Yeah Cyl head sounds involved. |
