questions re fuel tank and alloy wheels
G'Day All
i have a 76 fuel tank and i would like to fit a full size spare wheel, as in the early models. having trouble locating an early tank so i was wondering if anyone had cut the top of a tank and modified it to take a full size spare. i have read stuff about swirl pots and my question is is there enough room inside a middy tank to cut a piece out. second question is about polishing alloy wheels i have removed some of the paint on my wheels and the spoke part shows some signs of the original casting. how do i polish it with out scratching it i have tried steel wool and cutting compound bit this is not enough. any suggestions Regards Michael ![]() ![]()
