carpet for 69 question

I am looking at buying a carpet kit that our host sells

Pelican Parts - Product Information: WU-911-1230-1

This carpet kit comes either in Perlon, Domestic Cut Pile or Domestic Loop. Does anybody have experience with this kit? Any feedback on which type I should go with? What is the closest to factory? I had cheap loop carpet in the car before and am leaning away from that option. What is the difference between Perlon and Domestic Cut Pile? Does anybody have pictures of this kit installed?

Thanks,
Kristoph

I don't know if this thread is helpful or not Correct RHD Carpet Group Buy

I recently coordinated a carpet buy specifically for right hand drive early cars. The original carpet is known as Haargarn or "pepper and salt" and it is a cut pile wool carpet. The difference between Haargarn and synthetic carpets or perlon is huge. If you're after something for your track hot-rod, perlon is probably fine, but it simply doesn't last like a carpet.

If you really want to finish the car off and have carpet that will last for years, buy the best quality you can locate. I understand the 'go to' guy over there is Tony Garcia.

Thanks John. I think I spoke to Tony today. I believe he is the one at Autobahn Restorations. Based on consulting with him I am buying the Perlon as the Haargarn is way out of my price range.
