Tires for 16X9's on an SC?
What options do I have for 16X9 Fuchs on a street car?
I don't think 225/50's will stretch and there are few non-competition tire options in a 245/45 size. Regards, Jerry

There are a couple. Bridgestone, RE11s I think, and Fusion are two. By all recent accounts I've read the Bridgestones have been good.

+1 on the Bridgestones. Tire Rack has them, among others.

I have Toyo RA-1's on mine because they were the only option at the time. I'm thinking of buying the Bridgestone RE-11's right now due to availability and the $70 rebate. I can always mothball them and use them in the spring.

Bridgestone RE-11s are about it. Google 245/45r16 and see where it takes you. Not far. I just bought a set of RE-11s for my 86. I spent a couple of weeks looking high and low for 245/45r16s in stock anywhere.
Fusions ZRis appear to be gone. Firestone lists another tire that is similar and in the 245 size. I found info on the net saying it was the cheaper, crappy replacement for the Fusion. Check Firestone online for info. There is the Nexen N3000 that gets OK reviews but I couldn't find any in stock, anywhere. FWIW I am very happy with the RE-11s. Ride is nice and quite. Shed rain well in the couple of downpours I've driven through. The most weight any tire took to balance was 1oz J |
