Porsche Crest Shimmy

I had a persistant shimmy that I could not find the source too, front end was good, rims were true, balance was right on....UNTIL one day I changed my front and rear rotors during a brake job because they were marginally within spec........WALLA.....no more shimmy, vibration. I cured the problem not even thinking the rotors were the cause.

I had a similar problem on my 964. I had my front wheels machine balanced 3 times and "on the car" balanced twice because it felt like the steering wheel shook. I took it back one more time and had the rear tires balanced. That made the nut...up to 120 mph and no shake!!!!
