Need help on 911 to 964 engine lid swap

I have hear that you can put a 964 movable spoiler on a 1987 Carrera. Has anyone done this?

Do you use a 964 Lid or a Carrera lid.

I am getting rid of the tail on my 1987 and wanted to replace it with a stock engine lid but then I go to thinking.

I know that I may have to relocate my ac condenser and the spoiler would have to be controlled by a switch.

I have all the parts to a 964 wing including the
motor . I do not know if I need a 964 engine lid of a carrera one

Any help would be appreciated

You'd need to get some custom hinges. Search mattman 964 hinges and contact him.

Same question here... I have the lid from a '81 911 and the spoiler from a '91 964 (I installed a larger spoiler on my 964 so I removed the spoiler, motor, and wiring.

Can this be done?

Looks like I found the answer... needs a 964 lid as well.

I'd guess Roland could make a speed sensitive system work, but he's never explained more than what you reprinted, VWPete, and I've never heard of anyone actually doing it.

The switch method is probably more fun, anyway. You can use it to signal your menacing intent at stoplights.
