Fiske FM10 questions
 

I know that these are popular wheels on this BBS, I see a lot of people upgrading from Fuchs to FM10s, for many reasons, but mainly because they are lightweight and forged.

How much do these wheels approximately retail for and are they hard to get? (ie, do you have to order them in or wait for them to be made?)

Thanks for any info you current (lucky) owners can provide!

I recently priced these for my SC. 17x7.5 and 17x9's. Approx $2400 for wheels alone. I ended up buying Kenesis Supercups instead for same price (and Kuhmo Ecsta 712's). Just a personal choice. Best price I found was Wheel Enhancement. Excellent service from them as well. Wheels just arrived and were put on my car and look absolutely beautiful! Highly recommended!

Don't forget you'll get $$ for your wheels if you sell them to offset the cost.

I just bought a used set of FM10s for $2400. They are 18x8.5s and 18x10s with yoko avs rubber. I was going to buy new ones, but these were too good a deal to pass up. I had priced 17" FM10s, and they were $600 for 17x8.5 and $700 for 17x9.5. The person I had talked with at Fikse was Jeff Garcia, and he was really helpful. New 18" FM10s are around $1200 each, but in my opinion they are well worth it. They are the best looking wheels I have seen, plus they are extremelly light and extremelly strong. These wheels with rubber are a little bit lighter then my 16" Fuchs with rubber. I don't belive that there is a waiting period for these wheels. At least not with the ones I was going to order.

I have two sets of Fikse's and love them. One other thing that's nice about these is that with any modularwheeel, you can replace the rim if you put a dent in it for a fraction of the cost. This also allows you to change the offset if you get a different car down the road.

I have 8&9x17 FM10's. They are a great wheel but a huge pain to clean. They aren't a strong as the Fuchs and I think they are heavier than 16" Fuchs. When I bought them I was told that if I bent one that rim halves could be replaced. That's true but replacing a rim half is still more than $250 - hardly inexpensive. If I had it to do over again I would have gotten the easier to clean FM-5's. (I'm not neat freak or anything, these are my track wheels.)

I guess with the exchange rate, I'll have to try to source them locally (Australia) to save a few dollars. I'll keep you all posted.
