Question Power to the Coil ?

I am in the middle of an electrical rebuild and am stumped.

What color wire brings power to the coil and what harness does that wire come out of ?

I have the electrical diagram, but they just do not jive with the harnesses I am working with for this specific issue.

It is a 2.2 litre 911T , 1970.

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Jim,

The CDI-unit sends 460 Volt pulses to the coil via a Blue /Yellow wire and braided ground strap from the relay/fuse/regulator/CDI panel.

Is your diagram marked 'SL 35' from the factory service manual? It is the same diagram for 911T, 911E, and 911S in 1970. The 1970 models have a three-pin ballast unit #10 for the tach circuit. The '71 models do not, and use a two-part diagram, SL 37 & SL 39 ... vs the single 1970 diagram.

Except for the ballast unit connected to the Blue/Yellow wire in your car ... the pertinent wiring in the following 1971 diagram is the same:
