Odometer

I forgot to also mention what I see is a usual odometer problem with the plastic gear.

Does anyone know whether the same gear is used on other standard car odometers over here in the UK.
I have acces to a myriad of these at my breakers, and save funds, and cheaper than going over the pond.

Doubtful......Porsche (VDO) used many different gears (tooth count).
You could disassemble a thousand speedos and maybe find one that hasn't stripped yet.........or spend a couple of bucks and get the right one (new).
