Phoenix, AZ guys: Up for a Sunday drive to Prescott.... PCA style?

Hey guys. PCA is having a Sunday drive on June 9th - departing 9:00 am. I contacted one of the organizers who said we are all invited as his guests. Let me know if there is any interest. If my wife's schedule doesn't change, I'll be attending. Here are the details. Lee

Right now my schedule shows nothing on that weekend, so pencil my name in. Course the boss can always change that (just returned from London and Vienna this week!) with a phone call. Sounds fun... Joe

I bet there's a twisty road or two around there... Just remember that your rental Corsica doesn't handle quite like your 911.

No can do either. Will be making a long drive back from a job in Sacramento on the 9th. And it won't be in a Porsche. Please keep me informed on other get togethers though. Did get a chance to do Mingus Mountain the other day on the way back from Cottonwood. If you have not tried it (the road from Jerome to Prescott Valley/89A), you must add it to your list of things to do. It is like a roller coaster that you control! Sounds like it'll be a light turnout. I was hoping to get all you guys in front of me in case the troopers were staking out the route!

RJ, There is another guy here as well, will PM him and see if he is available. Am out of town on the 8th but should be home late that night and ready to do the tour on the 9th. Pls stay in touch and lets get a good turnout. We need "Pelicanhead" signs so that we can stand out form the normal PCA pukes... Joe

I promised the PCA guy a head count as the date nears. I'll check with everyone next week. It will be interesting to see what sort of pace they keep on the run after hearing about the whole group getting pulled over a few months ago. Pelicanhead sign? Got one... a Pelican Parts T shirt!

In case you're not familiar with the AJs that's the starting point for this drive, it's at the corner of Central and Camelback. You can go west on Camelback from the 51 or East on Camelback from the 17... it's about the mid point. Departure time is 9:30. I'm going to try to get there shortly after 9:00. If for some reason you can't make it at the last minute, please call my cell Sunday morning (480-326-9883) and let me know. Anybody got a 4 or 5 Motorola radios?

Lee, I have 2 radios I will bring them. Also to let you know my wife's boss is a NUT! I have heard his 130mph stories down Thunderbird. He has also told me of racing a Z06 on the freeway and pulling him..WOW Guess 400HP and a bottomless wallet will do that... He has been hinting at racing me. Hmmm 400hp vs 300hp Like the Lakers vs the Nets.. No Chance.. lol See you around 9ish
