Need close-up pics of wiper on tail.

I have a new tail on my Carrera. After suffering vandalism to my car, the body shop received what appears to be a RS America tail (thanks Byron for that info). It does not have provision for a rear wiper: no hole and plug. Now before others say it, I admit I like the look without the wiper and am prepared to keep it that way. However, should I decide down the road, to install the wiper, I'd like to know that I can simply drill a hole and mount the wiper. So, I need close up pics of the tail where the wiper shaft comes through the tail. Is the tail molded differently for that wiper shaft?
Thanks for your help.

Here's what I have now.

Thanks P-D.

I would have to get creative if I wanted to install the wiper. Thick washer ground down on one side with a bevel to fit over the apex of the rib...Anyone done this?

I think you were on the right track with leave it off...I thought about this when my car was all OEM...your situation may be different...but my reasoning was - how often to I drive the car, followed by how often do I intentionally drive in the rain, how often in the rain would I use/need the wiper...vs. the hassle of the install, added weight and "add on/stick on at the port last minute look” once installed...

I totally get you want your car all original, if that is the case I would have secured a tail that had the raised portion, otherwise I think it will look hacked...which leads me back to leave it off.

Again - Just my .02

Hello Henri,

I saw your car in at A1 a month or so back. I know Bill and he explained to me what had happened. A beautiful car and a real shame. I can not figure out why ass***es would do that.

I have a 87 with a tail and wiper you are more than welcome to look at, but if you really want to put the wiper back on, there is a tail with wiper hole and decklid for sale in Dunbar $300. Listed on October 4.

Regards
Ken
