78 sc axle replacement, wheels don't turn

hey everyone, just had my axles rebuilt by a local shop and on installation , while connecting the axle to the wheels once tight the wheels do not move. car is in neutral and the hand break is off. Any idea what i'm missing?

I'd take the axles off and check the CV joints do actually move like they're supposed to.

You can (mis)assemble the joints in such a way that they physically fit together but only have a very limited range of motion. Which might be just enough to bolt them on the car, but then they'd lock.

Did you use new mounting bolts? If so, they might be too long. If the mounting bolts are too long they will bind on the transmission case and not turn.

If your axles were rebuilt using the newer boot\flange cover (almost a certainty, the original boot/flanges are NLA), the original length bolts are too long (the new flange cover is thinner); you must use shorter (45 mm ?) bolts.
