convertible locking motor
 

Just had my new top installed and had a major air noise at speed.. Upon checking and playing with it i found the left top locking motor had a stripped bronze gear in it. Don't see the motor listed on any sites for sale or is this factory (ouch) only. Or can a guy buy parts for a motor somewhere? 88 cab convertible..

those motors are EXPENSIVE. Your best bet is to get a good used one from any of the reputable German dismantlers.

Went on another list and found that the parts are available to repair the stripped gear and it is already on the way.. 800.00 savings.......Very happy now...
