No moly grease on slave push rod?
Another thing that eats away at me at night is the fact that I forgot to put some moly grease on the push rod of my slave cylinder when I reinstalled it this weekend. I am not about to go through that slave R&R with engine and tranny in the car again. I really messed it up a few months ago. This time it was easy with the tranny a few inches lower. Is it a big deal to leave the grease off the push rod?

Hello
Very big deal sure. maybe it will make sounds or the pushrod will wear the pan in the fork out. Most peole wouldn´t care. To have a good sleap again remove the rubber flap and use a long nozled teflon sprayer ro ad some sticky teflon grease. But you sure have grease on the fork lever shaft and some grease on the guide tube ? Grüsse |
Yes, we did grease the fork shaft and guide tube. I'll grease that push rod this weekend. Vielen Dank Roland.

Hello
OK that was a partial joke ;) No need to rush as you see that often when you renew the clutch on a old car. As long there isn´t dirt it will not hurt the function. Grüsse |
