CIS airbox cover back in stock

After finding a new fabricator I can trust and know he will supply me without any problems I can offer these again and at much lower price than before.

You can find them here Porsche 911 & Turbo CIS Fuel Injection - Page 1

Thanks
Jerry

How are these more effective than the "cone-shaped" one I currently have?

Not any more effective. Just gives people a bigger choice as to what to use.

I like your design better than the cone. I will consider yours when time to replace.

Thanks.

Nice looking piece . . . any interest in doing something similar for 3.2 airbox lids?

Not to hijack but....

How do you have a cone filter on a CIS car? Is it a one-off piece?

I second the request for a better airbox lid for the 3.2. Something with a lower profile that's easier to work around, remove, and install would be great!

I wondered that myself but then saw a 77 listed under his name and assumed he ment the cone shaped cover.

Jerry -- The Fabspeed 'Cup' airbox lid retails for $175 . . . if you could do something similar for the 3.2 as you've done for the CIS cars at about the same (~$130) price I know I'd be interested.

Hey Jerry -- any word on whether you're considering something similar for the 3.2 airbox?

Thanks,

Dale

That "cone" on the factory air box cover is a very highly developed piece. It acts as a velocity stack, and speeds the incoming air up. Putting anything else on is not going to make it faster, it will more than likely slow it down. Lots of dyno tests have proved that you cant improve your cover by drilling lots of holes in it, or swapping it out for one that sounds cool. Take the factory one, deburr all the flashing marks on the inside of the cone, sand and polish.
