Fuchs wheel refurb
Just wanted to share a few photos of my freshly refurbed wheels for my '89 25th Anniversay Carrera.
Stock wheels 6"x16 and 8"x16. When I bought the car last year, they had been chromed... so I sent them off to Weidmans Wheels in CA. Asked Harvey to de-chrome, anodize and paint to get them back to stock. A couple of months and some $ later, they are back and on the car. Beautiful and superb attention to detail... thank you Harvey! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Did you have Harvey mount and balance the tires?

Yup.
Shipped the wheels to Harvey with the tires on, he did his thing and they came back with tires fitted and balanced. The tires act as good rim protectors during shipping. |

That looks classic. I have chromed Fuchs and they are starting to chip. My wrench suggested the same thing; get them back to original. This project just move up on the project list.

rothaus,
Yes you are correct on the tires. They feel pretty good so far. |
