It's up right now, but you may have to use this alternative address to view:

Will this rotor work with my car, or do i have to use the rev limit version?
Ignition Rotor - Bosch, 911 (1978-83), 911 Turbo (1986-89) |
Hi again. I think it will work - you don't need to use the rev-limit version, but it's a nice safety. The 911SC CD box had a rev-limiter built-in to the CD box starting in 1978, I believe...

By looking that the parts page...
the CDI controlled the rev limiting beginning in '78, prior to that if you do any hi performance or spirited driving you should have some protection. BTW Wanye, got your book yesterday (101 Projects) Love it |
Thanks for the response...a local pcar owner had an extra and donated it for a test fit.

Did you get the rotor with or with out the rev limiter?
As I see from your web site you like to autocross, so as you know, when you are concentrating on the cones, you some times lose site of your rpms. |
I got the non rev limit version to make the attempt, and it works. I did order the 7300 rpm for the car and it will be here Fri so I can get it and the other parts in and autocross Sun. Thanks for all the posts.
