Saffs,
Is it just me, or do those wheels look kinda goofy? They don't sit right within those guards... strange...

Notice how the seller says he has to liquidate one of 3 cars and he chose his latest acquisition? Then it comes to light that, according to the VIN, it really isn't an S after all. Is there a coincedence here?

Yet another 'value-enhanced' 911T with a jerk selling it who refuses to change his story based on the VIN! And look at the tremendous interest ... so far!
I guess if 'his mechanic' mostly works on old Ford pickups ... it would seem pretty clean! All of the foil maintenance stickers missing speaks well of the cheap repaint job, though!

It's a T! Also conspicuous by absence...interior photos. The bid price is already beyond anything I'd offer...

I believe your both wrong...
I see red plastic in the engine compartment...now us S owners know what color T's are ?? Right ?? Be cool guys, give the guy a chance to work this out. If your looking for "obstacles" you will notice there are NO stickers in the engine compartment, so a repaint....

Curt, the number this seller lists an an engine serial number is not the serial number, it's the casting number found above the lower valve covers. He lists # 901 106 101 5R...funny thing, the casting numbers on my car read 901 105 111 OR....which one do you think is still the original case?

Quoting from Zimmerman, quite aside from whatever idiosyncratic concerns this seller raises, "[u]nless the 'perfect' 1972 911 can be found, it might be a good idea to look elsewhere."
What's with the 11-digit engine s/n?

Easy does it...
So..it mite be a non-matching #'s S. The motor( assuming it a S) is worth $6K...

shouldn't the original bill of sale indicate whether or not it is an "S"?
If one listens to Zimmerman, one would spend most of their life "looking elsewhere". |

Even if it has an 'S' engine, now, which I doubt ... the VIN says it isn't a 911S! You can't make a car a different model that what it was when it left the factory by substituting parts later on!!!
The Fuchs aren't original, or have been refinished, it doesn't have an 'S' spoiler, it has a sloppy, cheap repaint job, and the current seller is trying to represent the car as something it isn't, which is intentional FRAUD! It doesn't matter what the previous owner told this jerk it was, and that is his sole basis for calling it an 'S!'!
