Identifying ports on my fuel tank
Trying to understand the difference between replacement oil tank options. I have seen two sorts, largely the same but some have these two additional connections on the front and wondered what they are for:
![]() Am assuming the main oil return is the connection bottom left (and connects internally to the oil filter), is this for some sort of auxiliary loop? Last edited by elrao; 12-08-2023 at 10:39 PM.. |

That's a turbo tank. Regular tanks don't have those two ports.

Thanks. I'd come to that conclusion (based on no fact, just that I couldn't think what else it could be for).
Not sure why I've got a turbo tank, guess it was replaced at some point. Any info on how those ports are connected inside, does one go to the filter like the main oil return? Can't find any images showing the film oil flow for a turbo |

That is your oil tank. Not a fuel tank. Tony |

This is the only parts diagram I have found that shows a connection to the front. Is from a sportomatic, implies this is the oil system for that (not a Turbo)
