Another aftermarket alarm question

Hello All,

Took the day off to get the car out of storage, 83sc. It has a UNGO aftermarket alarm installed. The car runs just fine and no electrical issues at all. The wire all over the place is driving me crazy. I can follow all the wiring and disconnect as I go. I wonder tho if I should just leave well enough alone.
Thoughts would be great.
Installed a new dash today also, pretty happy with it.

My philosophy is...if you don't have it...it can't go wrong!
I rip out all un-needed stuff...and wherever possible put in new wires.
Old wires get brittle and the connectors get intermittant.
Just my opinion...but I also put in a new battery every year in my daily car...just good insurance...after all... a tow truck charges cost of battery and then some just to jump start you on the road!

I used to have a car with an Ungo alarm. You needed to plug in a key for it to start. One day the rubber holder of the key came off and it turns out that the key is a circuit board with 8 leads in with two of the leads connected. You could defeat the alarm with a paper clip. If it is the same alarm it provides little security and should be fairly easy to remove.

Thank you for the input. I don't suppose anyone has a wiring diagram for a ungo 6200. Many google searches later. Nothing!

my bet is that relay bellow the fuse box is there to interupt the start signal when the alarm goes off. the other white wires are just power, excpet the on e white one to the relay, that would be the "control" signal.

pull the yellow wire off the relay and try to start it. there should be 2 yellow wires there. connect them, then start it again.

if you can remove the plugs on the unit on the fender and start it, then you can pull the rest of the crap out.

after market car alarms are VERY bad. to anyone that MUST have a car alarm, just install it for the sounds. wiring into the factory wiring system is a bad thing to do.
