Question Cuise control help

Well still working out problems with the new 88 cab..
One problem is the cruise control.
I have the Bently manual and enough electrical to be safely dangerous.
Well all the cruise module has power, relay checks out, brake and clutch switches working.
I assume the speed sensor is working 'cause the speedo works.
Guess the question is does anybody have a detailed schematic of the cruise control module and speed control servo. Or better yet a trouble shooting flow chart for this year car? How do the used part vendors check cruise module function ( other than plugging into a 911 with known working cruise)?

Did I mention this car rocks. I need cruise to keep it to sain speeds as Iowa 2 lane roads tend to bring out the speed freak in me.

If the switches (including column stalk), control module, and relay checks out, You might check the actuator diaphragm (located on the rear engine bulkhead, next to the left rear shock mount), and CC/throttle attachment.

Did it work until lately? Have you had the speedo opened?

I did check the steering stalk switch and this checked out.
How do I check the actuator. The linkage to the FI is ok.
Just didn't see a vacuum type of hook up, is it a servo (electrical motor) type of actuator.
I just bought this car 2 weeks ago. Speedo did have problems with not working intermitantly when car was new less than 10k miles. dealer fixed but I don't know what the repair was.
My guess is actuator or cruise module.
Thanks for the interest and good questions.

Thank you Grusse

I will try to figure out the wiring harness and see if I can hot wire the actuator. If that works than only thing left would be the cruise module and possibly the speed sensor connection.

You might call Peter B. Sanford, (805) 772-5127, peter@gdl-online.com. His company, General Development Laboratories, is awesome at cruise.
