Working on calipers now, stuck on 20 degree angle

Yo,

Putting the calipers back together now and stuck on the angle. I printed out the 20 degree ms paint template that is floating around. The manual says the zero degree pointed side faces the front of the car when checking angle.

My question is, where do I place the template? Depending on how far left or right I place it the angle changes dramatically. Should the Y side be perpendicular to the edge of the piston?

Thanks!

Got the angle figured out. Now just can't snap the dust boots on. The retaining clips won't snap on. What is the trick with these on the back? I left the piston out 1/8th of an inch and still can't snap them on.

Push the pistons in all the way. That will minimize the amount of tension in the rubber boot. Then the snap ring should stay in place.

After you reinstall, you must remember to pump the brakes such that the pistons are over extended. Then push the pistons back in to get the pads to just barely slide in.
