I'm down to the last few bits to get my '83 interior restoration done. Actually had the car on the road this weekend for the first time in months!
The original seats look tired. I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on some Recaro LS-B's to have recovered. Was thinking black with grey alcantara inserts. To give you a feel for what I'm going for here's how I describe the look. I'll post some pics later. The car is triple black. I did new headliner, RS carpet set, RS door panels and silver aluminum footboards/pedal cluster on the driver and passenger side. Deleted the center console. Any other ideas? I'm looking for an adjustable seat, not a racing seat BTW. I want to do some DEs in the future, but track is not the primary objective here.

Like you, I've been looking for a similar seat. Not familiar with the OMP seat, but I like the idea of the set-up for a 6 point harness. OMP has a good rep from what I hear. Good luck, and let me know what your impressions are if you go this way...thanks,

I'd like to see pics of a seat like that in a car. I talked to one interior guy about a similar set of Recaros with the "wings" at the shoulder and he suggested there might be a fit problem up against the b-pillar.
The guy I talked to on the LS-B's said he could fit them with the slot for the anti-sub strap if I wanted to add a harness later. |

I installed Recaro LS seats in my SC. The factory sliders bolt right onto the Recaros so they are plug and play.

I fitted a set of older Recaro sport seats in my SC. Best thing I have done so far. No more sliding on slippery leather, long distance comfort is great. I was also concerned about the wings fitting, but no problem there either. It's close, but there is about 2 inches between the seats and enough at the b pillar to reach back for the seat belt. ![]() I have also fitted 6 point belts for track use. The only concession was to leave out the sub belt and use them as a 4 point. It's not ideal but so much better than the 3 point lap/sash belts. Harv.

These are in my '77 - they came out of a VW Jetta and fit like a glove!

74-80 sport seats. super comfortable, nice big bolsters for the track as well. i just completed my first de with these seats at the beginning of the month and it was night and day difference between these and the "comfort" power 993 seats i had installed previously. they are, imho, a perfect compromise between daily driving and track seats. they really hug yer heinie, but in a very comfortable way.
