Anybody knows which wires should be redicted or replaced if I want to corvert a 4-cylinder tach to a 6-cylinder version?

jyri,
I answered almost the same question yesterday in this thread: http://www.pelicanparts.com/ultimate/Forum3/HTML/012073.html Unless you have considerable electronics experience, and a test bench with a variable power supply and some test equipment, including an oscilloscope, frequency counter, and variable pulse generator ... leave it to professionals. It is probably a simple procedure which could involve moving a jumper/strap or adjusting a trimpot, or both, but it should not be attempted unless you are equipped to do the job as stated above, so you can accurately calibrate the tach. ------------------ Warren Hall 1973 911S Targa 1992 Dodge Dakota 5.2 4X4 parts hauler [This message has been edited by Early_S_Man (edited 08-14-2001).] |
