Broken bracket and guages!!
 

2 issues I would appreciate some assistance on:
1) The passenger-side rear swaybar bracket has decided to break. Actually it appears that the nuts pulled through and took a majority of the bracket with it. I heard it happen as I drove across an off-cambered turn. Lovely POP sound. I jacked the car up and looked at it and there is not enough metal to weld back in place. I called PAP in/near Atlanta and they want like $150 for this tiny, non-electrical, non-moving hunk of metal because it is "diffcult to bring a car in and cut is out with a torch". I offered to do it myself and they were not amused. So, anyone know where I can get a bracket or should I make an attempt to fab and weld myself?

2) My guages (fuel level, combination oil temp/oil press, and speedo) seem to have some condensation in them?!? How on earth could this happened? Any suggestions? It is most noticeable on the combination guage.

If these are the worst of your problems, count yourself lucky. The sway bar mount tearing away is a common problem. Take it to a local welder and let him look at it. He may be able to weld it back into place. As for the condensation, that is not that unusual either. If it is constant, that is never dries out, remove the gauge and take it in the house for a couple of days and see if that works. Good Luck.

MDrive, as Kurt says, the broken sway bar mount is a common problem. Porsche #911.501.983.00 is the replacement part and it is reinforced compared to the originals. I'm sure that Pelican can get you one; they're nowhere near $150 new!

Condensation in the gauges is common, too, as Kurt states. It will go away . Just take care if storing wet things in the trunk to remove them as soon as possible - like a wet car cover or even towels from the beach. It may help to leave your trunk open for awhile if the fog persists.

By the way, the sway bar mount advice is predicated upon your having a Carrera. It would help us immensely to let us know the year and model of your car when you post.

If you don't have a torch, bring it to your local muffler shop that you know does good work. This happened to both front U brackets about 4 yrs. ago. They welded them back in place for 30 bucks. Haven't busted since.

I have a torch and welder and can do it, I just need another bracket. There is not enough left to weld to. Thanks though.
