I was driving my 87 Targa in the Sierra Nevada mountains the other night . It was getting very dark. Suddenly, I could not use my high beams and foglights even though the blue beam indicator light was on.
The regular headlights worked, but no high beams and no fog lights would turn on anymore despite repeated attempts. The fog lights worked when the headlights were shut off. The blue high beam indicator light in the tachometer would not shut off when I turn on the headlights to the regular setting. I made it home, but today the problem continues. I have checked the wiring under the dash, the fuses look good, and the wiring under the hood is fine. Is there something I have missed??? What could have happened? JFITZOZ ![]() |

sounds like it may be the stalk switch - I'd suggest opening up the column and taking a look at the connections there and see if it needs cleaning/aligning of the contacts.
