Quick question, wouldn't the heat from starting up the car every month attract the mice on the car? Specially if it's cold. I don't see why else they would try to nest in the car.

Get a Battery Tender Jr. Your battery will last 5 times as long. I have boat batteries over 10 years old and are still running strong because I keep a Battery Tender Jr on them when not in use.
