master cylinder restrictions

I posted a few weeks ago about what seemed to be an outlet restriction on my 69 master cylinder fitting. I just took apart my master cylinder today and the outlets from the main bore are restricted to about .056 in, both the front and rear outlets. Further downstream after the fluid passes the safety warning piston, the orifice becomes .140. Does anyone know a reason for this? Has anyone seen this on the later boosted master cylinders?
