The factory horns look like air horns but they're electrically driven.

I refurbished some early Bosch horns from a 66 swb. The later 'trumpet' horns are basically a smaller version of the same thing I think. I put together a pdf that I have sent to a few folk on Early 911s, but if you want one pm me with your e mail address and I'll send a copy. It's got too many photos to attach apparently.
