How to Identify what year oil tank I have??
I have an oil tank in my garage, and it's not from a 72. I know because I have 72 and it's not the same.
It has to be either a 65-71 or a 73. Is there a good way to tell??? Does anyone have a picture of either or a sure-fire way to tell?? I'm trying to get rid of some extra parts.... Thanks, ian |

Early tanks have a 'screw-on' fitting for the 'S' hose. Later tanks use a slip-on hose w/clamps. They are also NOT interchangable without cutting sheetmetal in the filter area.

69 oil tank
Here are a couple shots of a tank from a 69. The fittings at the bottom are threaded .
