Concours Snaps

The Orange County PCA hosts a "White Gloves Concours" each year to benefit Habitat for Humanity. I ran through today and caught a few snaps. They are here. I like older cars, so there are not many Boxter or 996 shots.

Tom and Darren from Pelican were there selling some books and stuff - it was cool to meet them in person. I also spoke to David Buhain who has an awesome RS with a 3.6 motor. I sat in his car - the gated shift mechanism felt solid and precise. There was a purple GT2 - yow!

Sorry the photos are short in the caption department - my short term memory leaves much to be desired. So if you recognize a car (maybe it's yours?) let me know and I'll update the thumbnail page.

Nice sunny day to drive my PCar and walk around some real beauties. Enjoy.

Cheers,

Don

Pics came out fine - thanks.

BTW, what's the grey non-P car in the 3rd row of pictures, 2nd from left? Looks like maybe a Lotus but I can't tell for sure.

The grey non p-car looks like a Ferrari 360 Modena Spider?

Doug - click on the thumbnail to bring up the full size shot. Yes, it's a 360 Spider. The Modena is the hardtop I believe.

Earlier a 3-day old Maranello showed up. The owner had two PCars in the concours. Tough neighborhood. The mistique of the Ferrari draws a large crowd - but this was a day of Porsche!

I should also mention that most of the cars were in display or wash and shine, very few in full concours. So the bias was towards fun.

Sure was nice seeing all those PCars today.
