1973 Koni shocks

The shocks on my 911T S suspension are shot.

I believe they are Koni shocks. The former owner pointed out that Konis have a lifetime guarantee and I may be able to get them replaced.

Another thread discussed rebuilding the Konis - can any one provide me with more detail on this?

Bill,

I don't think that Koni warranty was announced until the mid-80's ... so it does not seem likely that OEM '70's production would be included.

There used to be rebuilders that advertised in Autoweek, and Road and Track, but I haven't seen any of those ads for years, now. You might try looking in Hemmings.

Bill,

I looked into rebuilding my Koni's a while back. If memory serves, it was 135 dollars a shock to rebuild them. With new shocks available at around 150, it seemed foolish not to buy new. Maybe you can find someone more reasonable on the rebuild.

What is a good source for parts like this? I have Tweeks but there are no shocks in the catalog - a shop down in NC said they could get parts for me and ship them to St. Louis. What is the standard method?
