Line is clear, pulling it in the morning got to decide if I want to try to clean it myself or send it off.

if you take it apart, you need to be vary careful.
its been a while so bare with me.

the plunger slides in a cylinder. that cylinder has 6 tiny slits that have to line up with the 6 chambers that feed each cylinder. if you take that cylinder out, there is no way to line the slits in the cylinder with the openings in the top half of the FD. (i think there is, just not by mortals).

remove the large nut on the bottom of the FD. make sure the cylinder stays in the top half of the FD and that the cylinder does not turn.
that metal gasket needs to be VARY clean when you put it back together to keep it from leaking.
your FD may have the adjustments on top. dont mess with them.
once back together. do as i said earlier. use 6 containers for the injecters. open the senor plate, compare fuel volume out of each line.

BTW, i now have a paper weight. it gave its life for the knowledge i can now share with others

Well happy days are here again,

Add me to the list of people who have sucessfully rebuilt their Fuel Distributor, many thanks to the guys on Pelican for the great "how to" posts with pictures to walk me through the pitfalls.

Spent the morning pulling my FD Bosch Part # 0 438 100 031 off my SC (with motor in car) and tore into it, cleaned it out, put in new O-rings and put it back on the car, bled it out and cranked her up, took a few minutes to settle down but she runs great now all cylinders back in operation again.

Only thing I need to do is check the fuel/air ratio as it smells a little rich, idle is fine and no backfiring so I dont think I am off to far, no smoke or anything.

:)
