Whale Tail

Can the Whale Tail rubber be replaced with the Carrera Tail style rubber? This is on an 83SC. See picture at the Owners Gallery for red911

Hi Bill,

Although it looks like it would work from the outside once you take the rubber off and compare turbo vs. carrera rubber you'll see that they're quite different. Carrera rubber has 2 extra screws, and I don't think the other holes line up very well, either. Maybe you could remove some screws or drill some new holes but I didn't want to do that... and I'm not 100% sure the shape of the rubber is exactly the same. It's hard to tell without fitting it on there...
