Call of help from australia
Hi all in Pelican Land, needing help to find out history of my 1969 (built) and first registered in 1970 in USA 911 2.2 E
![]() Short story ,bought and shipped car from Los Angeles to Cairns Australia in January 2010, have clear title papers(cannot leave US without them),car has some modifcations (see photo`s) was told I was 3rd owner (yea right), as the person I bought it from was selling on behalf of the then owner.(some may know the car??). I tried to get a Dept of Motor Registory (California) application to find out previous owners and the time they owned it for,I`m very interested in the history of the car,but because I live in Oz it is no go, my question is can any fellow pelican obtain one for me if the Vin and previous Rego numbers were given? Willing to pay for time ,report and postage, as I do not know how the Registry dept works over there I have to rely on your expertise, modifications were done (wide body steel fenders and Euro 3.2 motronic with 915 LSD gearbox)there is a Californian modification sticker from Ca MVR for these mods fitted to car. Hope some one can shed some light as to any chance of receiving ownership history for this car. VIN 119210729 Rego 02BNOC California Regards Brett L in Australia ![]() ![]() |

The real question is: would you please post a pic of the oompa loompas mowing your lawn with that collection of mowers? For that I'd gladly track down your previous owners!
Nice engine bay.

Yep Tazzieman ,what do you expect from a fellow Australian, one who calls his cars Barry, Red Riding Hood(you kidding?) and Le Frog (shaz Baz???),talking about taking the splinter out of your own eye, you know what they say about the 2 headed people down your way.LOL
Lake CleElum, thanks for the advice ,maybe if you had read my post fully you would see that I have already tried this and they will not do it, you must have great perception to miss the car and see the mowers. Thanks anyway. John, thanks for at least a close to normal reply, if you look up a big post here on show us your Targa ,on page 80 ,I think (try a page either side) you will see everything explained about the mowers etc, hope you have a laugh as I`m am now.Or look up my user name and it should lead you there. Amazing some people spot the mowers and miss the car .(could this be just the J word, no couldn`t be.) |
