Greatings Pelicans and Porschephiles,
I need some minor welding done; nothing exotic just some tubing cut extended and rewelded on some frame members and need some referrals for a reasonable but good shop. I took the work into a guy here in Fallbrook for a quote and I think because it was a Porsche he marked it up to pay for his kid's college education here in California.............. Anyway, some referrals here in the San Diego Area would be great!!!! Thanks, Dirty Marty Fallbrook Ca ![]() |

Autopower is by the Sports Arena and does weld in cages for reasonable prices. Their custom work is nicer than their bolt-in rollbar kits.
There are a lot of off-road shops that can do it too. A friend recently had a rollbar built by a fabricator he knows, nice work, all TIG welded, I'll get the guys name and PM you. |

+1 to the offroad or NHRA cage builders, they cater to a more budget concscious crowd.

>> I wish! Complete cages starts at about $2500 around here...
Sorry to hear that Cory!!! Here in Gainesville, maybe due to the Gatornationals track, there are lots of roll cage fabricators... I had my Jeep roll caged for under $500, and the Porsche was a lot less, but it's just a roll bar. And just last week I removed the Porsche roll bar to get it powder coated - I was surprised they only charged me $200, and that included the sandblasting. The finish looks freakin awesome, I should have done it years ago. Chuck.H '89 TurboLookTarga, 342k miles |
