Removed Both 915 Axle Flanges - How bad is it?

I am replacing the axle flange seals on my 915, and just noticed the Note in the Bentley manual that states removing both output flanges at the same time may result in "difficulty aligning the drive flange splines".

Unfortunately it is too late as I have already removed them both :(. I don't recall seeing a warning about this in the various threads I read on performing this procedure. How bad is this going to be?

I don't recall it being a problem.

More of a problem with the 911 & 902 boxes that had tits on the end of the bolts. The 911 and 914 boxes from 1970 got around that problem.

Piece of cake on my 72 and 75 tranny.

I do remember reading that in the threads, so I didn't think it applied to my '77 915 gearbox.

The Bentley manual where the note appears is for an SC, so I wonder if the text was simply carried over from manuals for older transmissions.

btw, if there was any question, I have a magnesium 915/61
