what the heck does this switch do?

what does this switch do?? its the switch on the dash, between the heater controls and steering column? my wires are cut on the back. its a 1973 911e. it has a power antenna. the only thing i can think of, its for the power antenna to go up and down. i searched through a lot of early cars, and not many 911's have this switch, please help. its driving my crazy.http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1353243226.jpg

My 73 targa has a knob (rheostat, potentiometer) there, for the variable wiper speed, I think. It has never worked in the years I have had the car.

That looks like the previous owner installed some other after market switch.

That kicks in the four-wheel drive.

Agree that looks to be an aftermarket, PO installed switch of some sort. Never seen a factory installed toggle in that location.

My bet is that it is a manual switch to temporarily engage the enrichment solenoid on cold start for MFI.
