Does the sc have a pump behind the cam tower?
The guy who is grinding my cams asked if my car has a pump behind the cam towers. Air pump? 83 sc. Don't recall one. Is it possible a PO would have removed it? Anyone have a pic of one?

SC air pumps were up front. 964 cams have an extra part for the power steering unit if I recall and the air pump is all back there.

If it began life as a sportomatic it would have a pump driven off the front of the left side cam. I think the sporto was offered through '79 or '80 (?).

He's probably asking because SC cams are a popular 930 upgrade - the turbo scavenge pump is driven off the back of the cam.
