looks like itll work! I carry a pump and a plug kit since thats all you need most of the time. And a little harbor freight compressor certainly doesnt weigh 4.5 lbs especially when you strip off the plastic housing. But anyway.. I had a collapsable spare inflated on my 914 for a month or so just for rolling around and the sidewalls cracked on it like crazy. Definatley unusable after that.

people have been killed trying to mount tires that are too small for the rim.... beyond that I'd be concerned that thing will explode if you actually try to drive on it, like when you hit a bump or something.

I'd trust my original spare moreso,..but that's just me. Too chancy.....

they make 205 30 14" tires. I think theyre for golf carts but supposidly dot approved. I dont know the diameter or load rating but might be worth looking into
