For those of you who have shipped wheels and tires, how much did it cost? The wheels in question are Fuchs. Shipping at bot hlocations is within the continental US. Thanks.

Figure ~40-$60 UPS - I think it cost $55 to ship my 7's and 9's from NJ to CA

Im shipping a set with tires (like you) to Virginia , from Ontario Canada for $80.
go to UPS.com They have a quick cost calculator that gives you a quote as long as you have the zips. On a side note, shipping to or from Canada is no big deal aside from a hit for brokerage which is usually about $30 CDN ( 20US$), plus we Canucks get to pay sales and gst tax on the value of the goods. ![]()

can't help with an actual price, but also check out fedex GROUND at fedex.com - they too have a cost calculator.
I've found them to be significantly cheaper than ups, if you don't mind a one week transit time.

Best place to check is iship.com gives your the four main shipping operations and the variety of delivery time. Very handy.

Ouch JP!
I purchased my second set of Fuchs from a gentleman in WA, & it was $55 for Fed Ex to stack them at my door. |

Just courious, what did you guys use to package the tires and wheels for shipping? Did you have someone else package them? What did it cost?
I have a set of wheels and tires that I need to ship and have no experience in packing something like this. Thanks in advance.

I can't remeber the gentleman's name that I purchased them from. But he had fed-ex wrap them in the big plastic bubble wrap. Then they just affixed the shipping papers to that. Cheap & effective.

I've seen mounted tires/wheels shipped in pairs - good side to the inside and separated by cardboard. Then the wheels are strapped together. It helps to have a strapping machine, maybe you could be clever with zip ties...
I've shipped rims alone in standard boxes - two to a box. Found the boxes at Home Depot, though most shipping companies have them. Again, I put the good sides towards each other and separated the rims with cardboard. Don
