993 Headers and Cat for 3.6L Conversions

Several other threads have been segued by discussions about using 993 headers for 964 3.6L conversions. I have done this conversion and provided some pictures and a brief description on an earlier thread. We have also installed the 993 Cat on 993 headers and welded the 993 tips directly to the Cat. Here is a picture

Please excuse the dinged up 82 Coupe, it won't get a new paint job until the mechanical stuff is complete. As you can see, the 993 CAT is so long that there isn't much room to work with on the ends. I'll get some dB readings for this later this week.

Cheers

THANK YOU~!!

Thanks _very_ much! If you could direct me to the older thread on this (I have searched but not seen everything - like your picture!).

What did you do with the drivers side mounting? Rotate flanges or add studs?

I am very curious of your noise level, look forward to the db meter!

Do you like it?

Best,

Chris

Here is the post
shows JonT's engine that is a 964 that we put the 993 headers on. Flanges were cut, turned and TIG'd back. The picture showing the tips on the 993 Cat is on a 993 engine.
