How would I check my dist timing?
If I wanted to ensure I wasn't off a tooth in my dist, how would I verify this by checking what on the crank pully and what on the distributor? And can I tell if it were only one tooth off. Would the car run if it were one tooth off?

You would have to rotate your engine to TDC, pull the cap and see if the rotor is at the number one cylinder. The car should run even if your off by one tooth.
Since you have a DME, and the sensors on the flywheel, the cpu would readjust the timing even if you were off by one tooth. |
thanks rfng!
