Panamericana Prototype

Man I'm glad someone came to their senses before this went into production.

You'd need a paint job about every 3 months.

It looks much better from the front. It was never intended to go into production. It was a styling exorcise by the special wishes program for Ferry Porsche's birthday some time in the 1980's. The tire treads are cut by hand.

Personally I always liked the car.

A lot of the styling made it into production with some changes. The side mirrors are basically the 993 Aero style mirrors. The front is very similar to the 993 front, integral bumpers, head lights. The turn signals have ques toward the original boxtser headlight signal styling.

I like the headlights, and the removable roof on the blue one. The rest of the body is "a distraction".

The green one has aged well, but not my cup of tea.

It looks like a submarine. Kinda 80s James Bond style. I do see the styling cues predating the 993.

This angle catches the eye in a good way.

Wonder if Ferry ever hinted "Ix-nay on the resent-pay for my irthday-bay".

LOL, Yeah sorry about that. Saw it after I posted. I was to lazy to go back and change it.

The same group designed this devil child as well. This makes my head spin and puke green.

That's no smile - that's a grimace.

One of his sister's grand kids must be on that team.

You know he is thinking "Great googly moogly"

As one who never liked the 928, that 2 door wagon actually looks pretty good. Not quite so egg shaped :=)
