I did some research and all panels I can see are flat...so mine is twisted due to age.
I will make a new "aglomerated wood" base (I think that is the real name in English for that material...not cardboard as I mentioned before).

On my 3.2, the tail end curves up on my deck panel section.

Thanks Draco. I found several pictures and were flat, but I believe the original one had curves at the end as yours.
My panel has too old to rely on it for the "curved end"....

Ok, following with the Back Rear or Deck Panel...
As mentioned, decided to make new panels of aglomerate wood...3.2 mm.
It took me a lot to find the right shape to fit in to look as original as possible.
Upper panel has two layers of wood for resistance purposes.
Lower panel has also a smal angle (horizontal), but I went straight and looks very good.

Putting some glue for the foam. The original foam (grey) is about 3 mm. I could not find it here, so I got 5 mm (white) and works perfect.

Black leather...now going for the lower panel. First have to staple wood+brown leather together, then foam + glue and staples for the brown leather.

Some wrinkles to get rid of by my friend the heat gun...

I forgot to say that I tried to do the stitching with a guy and his combined sewing system machine, but not sure how good it could end. So I went again through the hard way and did it by hand...yes by hand.
After several hours of hand stitching I have to say that is not hard as it sounds. Lot of fun also. I will post how I did it later.

Rear Seat:
I never believed I would find such of foam, glue...a real mess down the seat.
First surprise was the "foam" under the leather. Never seen before...and also glued to the carpet...
Can somebody tell me if that is original???? I hope not.
Well, pictures speak for themselves:

First the holes following the path...then hand stitching.

Foam: 20 MM high density.

Thanks everybody for your compliments. This a learning process that hope you can use, not only for complete projects but also for repairing your leather panels-seats.
Rear deck panel had 10 mm foam. Rear seat believed the original had 20 mm foam but looks too curved. I think 15 mm should be ok. I will use 15 mm for Back rear seat...if that is the right foam, I will redo bottom seat.
Cheers,
René

Rene,

Just FYI, the staples Porsche used are called Outward Cling Stapler

A back board is not needed with this applicator

Thanks Draco. That is what I was looking for but could not find them here. I used regular staples but with the agglomerated wood it fit ok. Thanks for the tip.

Oh I see, They use standard staples, it is the stapler that has a special tensioner that affects the outcome of the staples.

If you search under Outward Cling Stapler, you can get them pretty cheap. Heck found mine on ebay for $35 Arrow Brand, maker of the staples too boot. Bostitch is the upper end stapler but $150, no thanks.
