i opened the ecu unit and found it had an upgraded authority chip in it already. would it be worth replacing that with a SW chip?

What is the actual brand of chip? Autothority?

At the least, get rid of the K&N. They are horrible filters.

Yea, I just started about 2 months ago doing things on my car. It's cool and feels good to do it yourself.

And the support you get on this site is PRICELESS.

Every day that I get to drive my Porsche is a good day. Every time I look at the wonderful piece of kinetic sculpture in my garage is a good day.

98% of all Pelicanites will strongly recommend the SW chip over any other.

The same percentage will recommend tossing that K&N, with respect to the fact/theory that the stock paper Mahle does a much better job of keeping particulates out of a very expensive and rapidly unobtainiate Air Fuel Meter.

Both of these statements have been confirmed by a racer/rebuilder whom I consider to be very experienced on both subjects.

crap, i hate to waste money. guess i need to get rid of the K&n. once i upgrade the exhaust, i'll upgrade to the SW chip. love taking one last peek each night in the garage before bed to verify, i really do own that car. merry christmas.
