Frunk Wire Management - Accessories Gone Wild!
Good morning hive mind, hope all is well! Next on my 911 To Do List is some wire management in my frunk. It seems previous owners decided to add several accessories over the years that have been since removed, semi-removed, or just forgotten about. I believe there are three accessories that have been abandoned, would love your input to see if I'm okay to remove these wires or if there's anything in particular I should be careful of while removing. The car is electronically stable right now, everything works as it should, and I'd like to keep it that way
![]() Wire Bundle 1 - Unknown Part: ![]() Looks like computer cable and coaxial cable to me? ![]() Bottom of this photo is the wire bundle, spliced into red and green wires here. ![]() The other end of the computer and coaxial cable dive into this fitting top left and disappear. ![]() Wire Bundle 2 - Sidewinder 5000: Says Sidewinder 5000 on it, which Google says was anti theft device. No other parts of this remain that I can find, there is no active anti-theft. ![]() Unit spliced into car here. ![]() Other cable loom in hand in photo from unit disappear behind frunk strut. ![]()

Wire Bundle 3 - Unknown Part:
These two parts wired together. ![]() Wire loom from left part in first picture leads to this abandoned harness with fuse, which is spliced into the white wires right side of photo. ![]() Another angle of the abandoned harness, inline fuses, white wire splice, along with a relay(?) that's wired into this bundle too. ![]() So I think there were three different things wired into the frunk at one point that have been abandoned. Some of these parts might be related, but not sure. Happy to provide any other photos or video if that will help. Really appreciate any input!

I removed a viper alarm system in my car years ago and the yellow wire from ignition switch under the dash was cut and spliced into it. I had to remove and re connect that wire. Also a few wires were soldered to the door lock circuit board.
The computer looking connector may have been for an old phone. |

Wire bundle three: the battery and the small circuit board are a battery backup system for the aftermarket alarm.
I think your best bet is going to be to start at the alarm and follow its wires to the factory wires and then put any factory wires back in place.

Thanks guys! I was wondering if these three bundles had something to do with one another. I'll start digging into it more this weekend.

A cell phone might be part of the issue as well.

Yank it all and then see what still works or doesn't and deal with it. No quarter.
