Fred,
It's a pleasure sharing this experience; we're glad to be an inspiration! Speaking of inspiration, if it wasn't for this BBS, I don't think we'd be tackling it. |

Hi Matt / Adam
I’m enjoying keeping track of your rebuild, keep up the good work. Glad you found John G,as there is nothing that he doesn't know about these cars. As I think I previously mentioned he is the only mechanic that goes near my car and like John W on this board is always happy to offer free advice to enthusiasts. Interestingly many locals have their cars wrenched by him without realising it, as he’s the guy that the P-mechanics turn to when they can't diagnose and fix problems. And when this is all done? And successfully?
Seat modifications...cut outs needed to accomodate a huge set of balls! My applause, my applause! |

Sparky, Thanks! I'll be developing a couple of rolls next week.
Noah, we didn't have a rubber mallet, I'm afraid. Basically, we chickened out! LOL! I'll make sure I'm there when John splits it, though! Paul, John G is the man! I don't know too many Porsche wrenches keen to impart their knowledge, but John is indeed one of these wrenches -- a rarity; a gem. Pwd72s, thanks, dude! If we really had brass ones, we'd probably try reassembling the motor ourselves!
